Harfan Loader/Report :
HIMA
is supported by cutting-edge software solution, under the
Integrated Decision Support System (IDSSTM
), a
powerful tool to optimize your decision-making process. Two new
modules have been added to the solution. IDSS Loader will
validate the data against the Harfan Asset Library format (HALTM
)
before loading it into the IDSS to be processed. IDSS Report
allows to export numerous scenario results to text, xls or mdb
files.

Workflow
Simplified :
After
reviewing the use of our software with our customers and user
groups, we re-engineered the calculation steps.
The final
result is a product that offers more possibilities of results while
offering a simplified and even more efficient calculation process.
The following steps have been optimized and integrated under
existing functions , as shown on the figure: Predictive Model
Scenario (PMS), Functional Improvement (FI) and Global Scenario
(GS).
To complete the workflow enhancement and contribute to ease the
usage of the IDSS features, the calculation steps have been
displayed in the same module (IDSS). The parameter menu now includes
all available options.

Features :
With the new version,
Harfan renewed its colors, icons, look and feel. User-friendliness
has been enhanced all at once.
How to rate the condition
of tangible capital assets as well as deciding which improvement to
recommend can be quite different from one organisation to another.
This has been considered in the enhancements developed in the most
recent version of the IDSS. More possibilities are available for
customisation by the user. This is the case for the condition
assessment criteria, rating methods and improvement decision tree.

Performance :

The
simplification of the workflow eliminated duplicate calculation
sequences which reduce the overall calculation time. These workflow
changes along with the tuning of the database settings made a
significant enhancement in the CPU usage and time.
